Clean cover systems are widely used as a method of isolating low to moderate levels of soils contaminants from end users of a site.  The clean cover is applied above the contaminated soils and typically comprises topsoil and subsoil, and can include a hard-dig or demarcation membrane.

Local Authorities and the NHBC require clean cover systems to be verified/validated to ensure that it is to the correct thickness of clean cover and that this comprises uncontaminated soils.

Michael D Joyce Associates LLP provides this service to developers recognising the importance of a rapid turnaround of the necessary certification.  In most cases, sites can be inspected on a next day basis with the results available within 2 to 3 days.  The subsequent verification report confirms the remediation is satisfactory and provides necessary confirmation to the regulators.
